How to vet an online ADHD clinic
This page contains no affiliate links and never will. It exists because getting this wrong costs more than any gadget on this site.
The short version: verify the clinician's license yourself, treat "guaranteed prescription" marketing as a leave-now signal, and expect a real evaluation to take real time. The checklist below is the pattern; run all of it before you pay anyone.
Why this page exists
Telehealth made ADHD care reachable for people the old system failed, and it also attracted operators built on volume over care. Several high-profile providers have drawn regulatory scrutiny in recent years. We will not name villains or heroes here; providers change, and this page has no way to re-verify a company faster than a company can change. What holds still are the checks. Run the checks.
The checklist
1. Verify the license, yourself.
Get the full name of the clinician who will evaluate you, then look them up on your state or country's medical or nursing board site. Confirmed license, no relevant disciplinary actions. A legitimate provider gives you the name without friction; hesitation is your answer.
2. Check what the evaluation involves.
A credible ADHD evaluation includes a structured clinical interview covering history and ruling out other explanations. A five-minute quiz followed by a checkout page is a sales funnel wearing a stethoscope.
3. Treat guaranteed outcomes as a red flag.
"Get your prescription today" is marketing a controlled substance. No honest clinician guarantees a diagnosis or a specific medication before evaluating you. Walk away.
4. Ask about continuity.
Who do you see next month? Same clinician, or whoever is on shift? What happens if your prescriber leaves the platform? Refill gaps on ADHD medication are a real harm; the answer should be specific.
5. Understand the money before the intake.
Subscription or per-visit? Does the fee include follow-ups? What does canceling look like? Screenshot the pricing page; you may need it.
6. Check pharmacy logistics.
Stimulant prescriptions carry shortage and transfer complications. Ask which pharmacies the provider sends to, what happens when yours is out of stock, and how a transfer is handled.
