How the shelf works
The short version: everything here is a card. A card gets a stamp, a one-line reason, and two dates. Stamps are earned, dates are real, and rejects stay published.
How cards get in
Three doors. We buy or try it ourselves. A reader suggests it and it survives our checks. Or it is so established in ADHD spaces that not carding it would be a gap, in which case the confidence line says exactly that. There is no fourth door: nobody can pay their way onto the shelf.
What the stamps mean
KEEP. Still in use after 30 days or more, or so consistently kept by the people we trust that it earns the stamp with the confidence line disclosing which. The default is skepticism; KEEP is a minority stamp on purpose.
WORTH A LOOK. Real merit, situational fit. The why-line tells you the situation.
RETURNED. Tried and retired. The reason stays published in six words or fewer on the card, longer in the digest when it is interesting. Purchase links come off RETURNED cards the day they are stamped: we do not earn on things we told you to skip.
The confidence line
Every card carries one: Owned and used (we live with it), Tested briefly (weeks, not months), or Community-sourced (n=…) (built from a stated number of reports). No card pretends to more testing than it got.
The re-check schedule
Gear cards: quarterly, for price band, availability, and model generation. Creator, podcast, and community cards: twice a year, for activity and cadence. Every check updates the CHECKED stamp. A dead purchase link flips a card to RETURNED automatically with the reason "link rot" until a human re-checks it, usually within the week.
The ownership rule
If a product built by our publisher ever appears in this catalog, the card carries a bordered box that says so, in Courier, where you cannot miss it. You should discount for bias anyway; the box exists so you know when to.
Corrections
Wrong price band, wrong claim, wrong stamp input: email hello@adhdbookmark.com. Fixed within 72 hours, logged on the card's shelf changelog. Never silent.
What the desk refuses
Supplements and nootropics, permanently, at any commission. Sponsored stamps. Paid placement. Clinic endorsements. If it preys on this audience, it does not get a card, it gets ignored.
