Research

What research does ADHD Bookmark publish?

Two studies from our publisher's network of reading guides, summarized here for ADHD readers: which of 30 reading apps recap a book up to your place and protect you from spoilers (November 2026), and what reading apps cost in the US in Q4 2026. Each summary links to the full study, where the dataset, method and every source are published.

Cards on this site are built from official listings, pricing pages and help centers. Sometimes a question needs more than one card can hold: how many reading apps actually recap a book up to your page, or whether reading app prices went up this year. For those, we use original studies that count from primary sources, cell by cell, with every figure dated and sourced.

Each study has one canonical home, where the full write-up, the dataset (CSV and JSON), the method and the limitations live. The pages below are short summaries for the questions ADHD readers ask most, with one chart each. When the full study is updated, the summary date changes too.

  1. Recap and spoiler-safety features in 30 reading apps (November 2026)

4 of 30 apps publish a recap that stops at your place; only one covers print books. Catalog-card summary for the reading shelf.

  2. Reading app price index, Q4 2026

What 26 book, audiobook, tracker and recap apps cost in the US, and which prices changed. Price cards for the reading shelf.

Both studies were built from primary sources only: US App Store listings, official websites, pricing pages and help centers, read on 2026-11-04. Counts come from the dataset, not from impressions, and features are recorded only where an app's own listing or help pages describe them. Where something could not be verified, the dataset says so rather than guessing.
